Down Rods for Your Ceiling Fans

Downrods are used to drop a ceiling fan down lower from higher than normal ceiling heights.

There are two standard sizes used in the industy... 3/4" diameter and 1/2" diamter. Many of the local home improvement stores will ony carry the 3/4" size, leading a person to beleive that 3/4" is the standard size. This isn't true, as the 1/2" diameter is used for nearly half of the ceiling fans sold in the United States.
